The WINDEE project will have a transformative impact on how digital education is approached across Europe by embedding digital well-being as a core component of educational policy and practice. Through research, experimentation, and stakeholder collaboration WINDEE project will:

Enhance the digital competence and well-being of thousands of students and educators by providing them with practical tools, training, and supportive digital environments.

Influence policy at institutional, national, and EU levels through evidence-based recommendations, ensuring digital well-being becomes an integral part of future education strategies.

Promote innovation in education technology by aligning digital tools with well-being principles, encouraging the EdTech sector to prioritize responsible and inclusive design.

Build capacity among educators through training and a peer-support community, increasing their ability to manage digital tools in ways that foster health, focus, and engagement.

Strengthen cooperation between schools, higher education institutions, ministries, and EdTech providers, laying the groundwork for sustainable, cross-sector collaboration on digital well-being.

Objectives

Develop and refine digital learning environments to ensure they support students’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and psychological well-being.
